Ginger Wade (vox/guitar) – Ginger Wade, die Brooklyn Blonde mit der Punkrock-Attitüde und einer übergroßen Stimme. Aus dem New Yorker RiotGrrl Underground stammend, reicht Gingers Stil heutzutag von Blues über Pop bis Rock'n'Roll, von Janis Joplin bis Poly Styrene und allem, was dazwischen liegt. Ihre Songs handeln von Sex, Besessenheit, Lust und Wut, verdichtet auf jeweils zweieinhalb Minuten und gezeichnet von der manchmal holprigen Straße ihrer Reisen. Musikalische Vorbilder? Iggy Pop, Patti, aber auch Bessie Smith, Aimee Mann, Debbie Harry und viele andere. Ob auf der Bühne oder als Straßenmusikerin, Ginger spielt Originale und Covers mit einem selbstironischen Sinn für Humor, der daher rührt, dass sie nichts von alledem zu ernst nimmt.
Ginger hat klassisches- und Jazzklavier studiert, bis sie mit 18 ihre erste E-Gitarre kaufte, um eine Band mit ein paar Teenager-Freundinnen zu gründen. „The Harlots“ waren aktiv in der RIOT GRRRL-Szene und sind auf den kleinen Bühnen in New York aufgetreten. Heute lebt die Haltung ihrer Punkrock-Lehrzeit fort, sogar wenn sie unterwegs nur mit der Akustikgitarre ist. Zudem spielt sie auch mit die Lübecker folkpunk trio The Leroys, die Akkordeon/Gitarre Duo Ladies Rock Night mit Renee de la Prade, singt für die stonkerpunk Band BRONTIAK, und ist Bassistin und keyboardistin für Reu Bruhn Combo.Download Pressinfos als Word doc

Ginger Wade (vox/guitar) – the brassy blonde with a punk rock attitude and an oversized voice to match. Spawned from New York City’s RiotGrrl underground, Ginger has evolved into a global nomad with a scratchy acoustic guitar, her style spanning catchy pop tunes, swampy blues, and primal rock ‘n’ roll. Her songs deal with sex and obsession, desire and rage, condensed to two and half minutes each and drawn from the sometimes-bumpy road of her travels. Musical heroes? Iggy Pop, Patti as well as Bessie Smith, Aimee Mann, Debbie Harry oh so many more. Whether busking on the street or on stages large or small, Ginger plays original songs and covers with a self-deprecating sense of humor that comes from not taking any of this too seriously.
Ginger studied classical and jazz piano until the day that she bought her first electric guitar to form a band with a pair of teenage girlfriends. "The Harlots" were active in the Riot-Grrrl scene and played in venues throughout New York City. Since then she has played in more bands than any of us can remember. In addition to performing as a solo singer/songwriter (with or without band), Ginger also performs with folkpunk trio The Leroys, accordion/guitar duo Ladies Rock Night, sings for the stonkerpunk band BRONTIAK, and is the bassist and keyboardist for Reu Bruhn Combo.
